Passionate about music education and outreach work from the start of her career with Live Music Now  it has always been an integral part of Sarah's life as a musician. Twelve years at the Royal College of Music, London Sarah taught and designed the Professional Skills (Art of Teaching) programme for both the woodwind and brass students. She currently is a regular lecturer at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama as well as being a guest musician, performance class director and examiner at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, Royal Welsh College of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music. Sarah taught instrumental Undergraduate and Masters students for seven years at Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent and over the years has been a tutor for numerous students at Oxford and Cambridge University, she currently teaches Trumpet at Surrey University. Sarah has appeared as international guest tutor at Illinios University Chicago USA, Mexico University, Christchurch University - New Zealand & Royal Guard of Oman Music School.

 

Sarah enjoys working with young musicians and previously has been a regular visitor to the Royal College of Music Junior Department teaching trumpet, classical saxophone, and jazz as well as Trinity College of Music Junior Department. Other teaching work currently takes place in the very heart of  London in the shadow of the dome of St Paul's Cathedral at The City of London Boys School located on the edge of the river Thames, it is one of Londons leading academic day schools.

 

Past Summer courses have been teaching Yoga to the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, tutoring at Woldingham International Summer School, Directing the Aberystwyth Saxophone Summer School (see picture below), the Brass Academy and leading courses at the Benslow Music Trust.
