LIFE CLASS

Lecturer at the Royal College of Music, London Sarah is currently teaching the Professional Skills (Art of Teaching) programme for the woodwind and brass students. She also is a Guest lecturer at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance. Sarah taught instrumental Undergraduate and Masters students for seven years at Canterbury Christ Church University and has been a trumpet and saxophone tutor for numerous students at Oxford and Cambridge University over the years.

She has appeared as international guest tutor at Illinios University Chicago, Mexico University, Christchurch University New Zealand, Royal Guard of Oman Music School/Army and a lecturer on home turf at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Trinity Laban College of Music, University of Surrey & Leeds College of Music.

 

She has also been a regular visitor to the Royal College of Music Junior Department teaching trumpet, classical saxophone, and jazz as well as performance classes at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Trinity College of Music Junior Department. Sarah’s other teaching work currently takes place in the very heart of  London in the shadow of the dome of St Paul's Cathedral at The City of London Boys School located on the edge of the river Thames, it is one of Londons leading academic day schools.

 

Past Summer courses have been teaching Yoga to the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, tutoring at Woldingham International Summer School, Directing the Aberystwyth Saxophone Summer School (see picture below) and leading courses at the Benslow Music Trust.

Sarah is a professional yoga teacher from The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Academy, eighteen years personal experience in yoga and a specialist in breathing techniques studied at the “Art of Living Foundation” New York.
